Egil was an accountant in Norway, busying himself with being excessively normal and the perfect victim for a sudden, unwanted call to adventure. He fell off a cliffside (very dangerous, cliffsides; try not to stand on them at night during rainstorms) and drowned. "Fortunately" for him, when he came into the possession of Ran, a Norse goddess who gets to claim the souls of those lost at sea, she decided to put a twist to her usual cycle. She resurrected him, with an added curse: that's right. This guy's a were-kraken.

When he isn't bemoaning said curse, Egil likes snappy conversations, good coffee, and/or a quiet place to read.
